Deadbeats 4 Vandals is an original graphic novel series stylised in a european-manga black and white design in the vein of W.I.T.C.H., Paper Girls, Monstress and Deadly Class. Dealing in themes of identity of self within a community and a society, pursuit of individualism and the power of creativity.

All stages, from scripting - penciling - inking - screentone and shading - lettering done by Anastasia Mezikaeva.

"Subjugated by a system that criminalises any creative and artistic expression, the people of Coreria live their lives in greyscale, under a constant military surveillance and strict social hierarchy that ensures the downtroden stay silent. 

Eight years after the failed rebellion that led to their parents' tragic deaths, Amaya and her siblings live in hiding, forced to forget, never to forgive...

That is, until Amaya decides to risk getting caught for the one chance any citizen of Coreria has to get out; Sponsorship by the Elite. A special force that recruits extraordinary creative individuals for the Elite's artistic gladiator ring. 

Amaya's destiny, legacy and survival rides on this opportunity to be the 1%. Facing the greatest trial of her society while protecting and hiding her identity, she is ready to fight for her music.
